Hello There!

whimsy-rabbit-1

I’m always exited when its Whimsy Stamps new release day! There is always something so special and so magical, they never cease to amaze me! So to start the month off, I have some adorable bunnies, gorgeous slimline papers and guys, wait for it….. there’s a slimline envelope die! Yeah I’m making envelopes and its easy! Lets face it we don’t always have the time to sit for hours to create or maybe we cant sit for hours due to health reasons or maybe you just need a card like NOW! I have two cards to share with you today and simple cardmaking 101 is what its all about, As the month progresses I will be leveling it up a few notches so to speak, we will start out easy and believe me you won’t want to miss what’s coming!

Was It Really That Easy?

Of course it was! Both of my cards today are slimline cards. Whimsy Stamps has come out with patterned slimline paper and they are all gorgeous. You can create a background with no effort, so having said that I’m using the new Slimline Buttercup pattern Paper. I used the new Sending Sunshine stamp. It does come with coordinating dies, no fussy cutting, yay! I stamped my images on watercolor paper with a pigment ink as I wanted to use my new Winsor and Newton Promarker Watercolors. I am trying a lot of new products lately but that’s another blog! I watercolored them, and die cut them. I also die cut the Connected Oval Die for which my bunny and flowers would sit in. I stamped my sentiment and cut it out. I glued all pieces to my pattern paper and my card was done!

Second Card!

For my second card I used the same new products I just added the Pocket Die! For this bunny I used Alcohol markers and pencil crayon! I also created an envelope which you can see in the background using the new Slimline Envelope Builder Die. I will be using this die a lot!

I hope you found some inspiration and even if you don’t have much time, Whimsy Stamps has the products to help out in a pinch!
