It had to be Frank!
It had to be Frank!
I’m extremely excited to be sharing my first blog post, it’s been a long time coming! While I call myself the Wizardess of Cards I am not the Wizardess of computers! Thus I needed some assistance building my website and blog! I want this to be a place where we can chat about all aspects of card making, I will post cards that I create, but I want to review some of the products and mediums I use and have come to love as they sometimes differ from the conventional supplies that we are use to using! So for this first post I knew in my heart it had to be Frank! Frankenstein Schmutz is a fabulous clear stamp set from Whimsy Stamps designed by the talented Deb Davis! This stamp set combines the perfect amount of nostalgia and character. I think the look on his face says it all!
When I create a card, I have come to realize I use everything but the kitchen sink! So To begin I stamped Frank from the Whimsy stamp set Frankenstein Schmutz on Arches watercolour paper and coloured him with my neo 2 crayons , activating the green scribbles of colour with water I watched his green skin take form! I next stamped both sentiments on Whimsy Stamps sweetness pattern paper, I absolutely love the crispness of ink on 3’s blackout black ink! While waiting for my sticky words to dry , I stamped and die cut the palm trees. I cut a piece of black card stock to measure an A2 card base 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. The pattern paper was cut just a smaller and glued in place. I then adhered the black glitter piece to the pattern paper and adheared the palm trees and of course the guest of honour was placed on the card Frank! With a few flicks of a white and black gel pen , I waved my coloured pencils over areas in need and added some gorgeous red velvet hearts (only the best for Frank) And suddenly I knew I had a card that is fit to start an amazing new adventure with Frank by my side!
