Poinsettia’s & a Little Watercoloring

Hello and welcome! I am always happy when I get to write about flowers and watercoloring! Whimsy Stamps has a new stamp available a beautiful one at that! Vintage Poinsettia, Oh I love it!

This is an A2 sized card. I used a blue piece of cardstock as my base and Arches Watercolor Paper for my panel. I stamped the florals in antique Linen Distress Ink. I did not mask the Poinsettia as it is easy to just wipe away excess ink where you don’t want it because the ink is so light, buy you can always make a mask if you are not comfortable doing that.

I waterecolored using Sennelier Watercolors, I do love these watercolors! I did add a bit of pencil crayon for some shadow and depth. I added speckles of white gauche because I love that look!

For the sentiment I used black ink and die cut it using my favorite Simple Sentiment Strips Die Set added a bow from the Decorate A Tree Die Set, a few sequins for sparkle and I was in love with the out come!

As always thank you for stopping by. Hope you get a chance to stop by Whimsy Stamps they have an amazing sale on for Cyber Monday! I do use affiliate link where possible at no cost to you. Have a very lovely and crafty day!
