Spellbinders – Eyelet Lace Frame

Hello, and welcome to my crafty blog. I have made two cards today using The Eyelet Lace Frame Etched Die from the Spellbinders Garden Shutters collection by Becca Feeken. This collection is so beautiful The large die measures 5 x 7 inches but it does have many elements that allows you to create different sized cards so today I have a A7 card and a standard A2 size card to share.

When I saw this die in all its Lacy beauty, I couldn’t help but think of the ballet. Swan Lake was my inspiration for this card. To create the swans, I used the Heart Swans Etched Dies from the truly yours collection. I began by cutting a base in white cardstock measuring 5x 7 inches I then die cut the eyelet border die and used only the older frame for this card. A piece of watercolor paper and watercolors created my serene   background for my Swans. Once the background was dry, I carefully cut it and adhered it to the eyelet lace frame. I then die cut the Swans and die cut the flowers from some of my extra watercolor paper and adhered all the pieces together placed the Swans in the center of my card I then foiled I adore you sentiment, die cut it and adhered it to my card. I then glued the frame to my base, and I have a beautiful card for my husband for Valentine’s Day.

The second card I used the remaining pieces from the eyelet lace frame die however I did cut out one of the extra pieces with pink cardstock. I then stamped a ballerina from the Ballerina Sentiments which was a clear stamp of the month December 2020. I coloured her and added little feathers to her tutu. I adhered her to the centre of the card. I also used a sentiment from the same set thank you and I absolutely love the way this card came out.

Thank you for stopping by I hope you get a chance to check out the beautiful products at Spellbinders and I hope you found some inspiration to create different sized cards from a single die. I do use affiliate links when possible, at no charge to you. thank you always for your kindness and support.
