Thank You!

This latest mini release from Whimsy stamps included a A2 Magnolia Die , which is absolutely gorgeous and I made so many cards using a variety of techniques. This card was inspired by a card maker/watercolorist Debby Hughes. Did you know you could die curt and use it as a stencil! It is very easy and that’s exactly what I did to create the beautiful texture on the background of my thankyou card.

Lets Get Crafty
This is an A2 sized card measuring 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. For this particular card I used watercolor card because I used alot of water for my background. I started by misting water on the paper and the spraying distress oxides, if you have the stamp pads you could ink smoosh the paper to get the same effect but always a little at a time drying each new layer.

To create the die was very simple! I just die cut the Magnolia die on a heavier card stock placed it over my dry background just as you would a stencil and applied texture paste! Mine is from Ranger. Once my texture paste was dry I splattered white gauche over the background and I was ready for my butterfly! The butterfly and sentiment are from the Butterflies Stamp Set. I get so much use out of this stamp set. I stamped the butterfly and watercolored it, then fussy cut it. I prepared my sentiment and glued both to the panel. I added a little twine behind my butterfly. I also added some jewels for a little sparkle!
Hope you found some inspiration just as I did, thank you always for stopping by. I will add links below I do use affiliate links at no extra cost to you, thank you for your support.
