The Magic of Watercoloring Daisies
The Magic of Watercoloring Daisies

Daisies are enchanting reminders of sweet smells of spring and warm summer breezes!

Daisies symbolize purity and innocence, I believe that Eny Dunn of Doodledaisiesandink has peferfectly captured that very essence through her beautifuly designed dasies! I absolutely love to color florals, there is something so magical in watercoloring, dainty petals and lush green leaves!

Let’s begin
Doodledaisiesandink offer a beautiful selection of digital stamps! They are very easy to create with! For my card I used the Dainty daisy digital stamp. I down loaded it and printed it onto Bristol Smooth cardstock. I then began the relaxing task of adding wet layers of gorgeous watercolor to the petals and leaves! I decided to bring more life to these dainty flowers by adding highlights and shadows using my pencil crayons. I did add a few dots and streaks for some added interest! I am going to list everything below that I have used including colors, but you can use whatever you have on hand and it will work beautifully! There are no limits to creativity! For the background I cut a piece of card stock to measure 4×1/4 x 5×1/2 A2 sized card base. Then die cut a smaller piece of card stock using Spellbinders hemstich rectangles (they are so beautiful) finally for the last layer I cut a piece of pattern paper even smaller and added distress ink to it for color. I do love using those life changing blending brushes, suppose I should write about those sometime, have they really changed my life? Ok back to business I adhered all papers to the base, die cut the sentiment sending and adhered it, love is a sticker and was placed under sending. The first daisy was directly adhered to the pattern paper while the other I popped up using foam squares. Sequins were added to give just a hint of sparkle.
